We identify, initiate and promote income generating projects that empower local communities. The projects focus on knowledge transfer and capacity building with the aim of lifting communities out of poverty. So far, we have worked with Macadamia nut farmers from the Eastern Highlands of Zimbabwe to help them increase knowledge on producing higher quality nuts which leads to a more competitive price on their sold nuts. This in turn stimulates the local economy yielding improved income for the local population. With funding from Arts – the Centre for Culture and Development, Denmark, we designed a project called “By Women of Africa” – a project that promoted highly talented female artists into Scandinavia, subsequently strengthening their career paths on a global plan.
